Disney World: Day 5 Recap

Rest days are a necessity for any Disney vacation, no matter the length of your trip. 😉 We have been pushing it and hoofing it all over Disney World, so we were overdue! Our plans today included a character breakfast with Minnie and her friends, spending time at the pool, and a character dinner at 1900 Park Fare.  Both boys slept in until 7:00 which was amazing! We got dressed and ready and began our way towards Cape May Cafe located at The Beach Club Resort. We took the Skyliner from our resort to the International Gateway at Epcot. From there, we had about a 5 minute walk to our restaurant. Super easy!  This character meal is one of the lesser known options for character dining. We've done character dining at Topolino's Terrace (amazing!), Tusker House and Chef Mickey's, so we were excited to try something different. Minnie, Daisy, Donald and Goofy are all dressed in their beach attire, and make their way around the restaurant several times. You're also able to do a ...

Disney World: Day 4 Recap

Today was SUCH a fun day! Today we went to Hollywood Studios (formerly known as MGM) and had the very best time. Here's the recap. 😊 Last night we told Sammy to try his best to sleep in, as we didn't have any early lightning lane reservations booked. Well, both boys were up by 6:15, so we decided to start our day early.  We got showered, cleaned up and organized, and were walking into Hollywood Studios right around 9:00AM. Of all of the parks, Hollywood Studios is the Disney park that we are the least familiar with. We had some great things booked and were excited to meet the most of our day.  The boys started out with "Star Wars: The Adventure Continues." It was a virtual experience that simulated flight with all of the Star Wars characters. Sammy did not enjoy this ride, so we decided to skip rider swap. While Sammy and Dustin did this experience... I took Jack to meet Daisy. He was SO EXCITED! He did not want to stand right n ext to Daisy but he loved blowing her ...

Disney World: Day 3 Recap

Today we took our little world travelers to...Epcot! I know that I said yesterday that Magic Kingdom was our favorite park, but today has me reconsidering that statement. We love all of the...well, magic of Magic Kingdom, but we totally appreciate the laid back atmosphere of Epcot. Epcot is truly for strolling, enjoying food and drinks, and taking in the sights and rides. As much as we love being "go, go, go," at the parks, today was a nice balance of moving a little bit slower! Jack and I had a slower morning while Dustin and Sammy got going early. We did not have any lightning lanes booked for the Ratatouille ride in the France pavilion, and it is the ride that Sammy was most excited to ride. So, off they went to try to be the first in line. The thing is, about 300+ other people had the exact same thought as they did. Haha.  The boys finally got on Ratatouille and Jack and I met up with them afterwards. Jack and I walked right upon them... ...meeting Daisy. 😊 We rode ...

Disney World: Day 2 Recap

There is no tired like Disney tired. 😉 Today we conquered the Magic Kingdom! This park is probably our very favorite, and we were excited to start our day. Dustin and I *may* have been more excited than the boys, as we had to wake them both up this morning. Haha.  Today there was early entry to the park beginning at 7:30AM. Early Entry is an included offering for guests staying on Disney property. It's a great opportunity for guests to enjoy the park at reduced capacity - typically you're able to get a lot of rides done! The resort buses typically begin running about 1 hour before the park opens, which means that we should have been at the bus stop at 6:30AM. While Dustin and I were ready to go, our boys weren't yet. and we boarded the bus at 7:07AM. We were still able to get quite a bit done after we made it through security. Somebody (Dustin) must have looked a little suspicious, and so he was selected for extra screening. Haha! Truly though - we are thankful Disney take...

The Brisel family is OFF!

I'm so excited to share that our family is celebrating the holiday season at our very favorite place...Disney World! This trip has been a long time coming. We have been saving and planning for over a year, and yesterday we [yes we...Santa doesn't get credit for this one 😉] surprised our boys with a trip to Disney World for their Christmas gift. Disney is truly Dustin and my happy place, so we couldn't be more excited to bring the boys!  While we're gone I plan to blog about our trip, so I'm hoping to share an update tomorrow evening. For some who may not know, I am working my way through the certification process of becoming a Smart Moms Travel Agent, which is a travel company that specializes in trips to Disney World. I'm hopeful that it might turn into a fun hobby that lets me share a little bit of my Disney knowledge with other families. 😊 I thought blogging our trip would be a fun resource to share with future clients! For a little recap of today... We wer...
