Disney World: Day 3 Recap

Today we took our little world travelers to...Epcot!

I know that I said yesterday that Magic Kingdom was our favorite park, but today has me reconsidering that statement. We love all of the...well, magic of Magic Kingdom, but we totally appreciate the laid back atmosphere of Epcot. Epcot is truly for strolling, enjoying food and drinks, and taking in the sights and rides. As much as we love being "go, go, go," at the parks, today was a nice balance of moving a little bit slower!

Jack and I had a slower morning while Dustin and Sammy got going early. We did not have any lightning lanes booked for the Ratatouille ride in the France pavilion, and it is the ride that Sammy was most excited to ride. So, off they went to try to be the first in line. The thing is, about 300+ other people had the exact same thought as they did. Haha.

The boys finally got on Ratatouille and Jack and I met up with them afterwards. Jack and I walked right upon them...

...meeting Daisy. 😊

We rode "Finding Nemo," and "Frozen Ever After" before heading to wait for our lunch reservation in Italy.

Dustin and I took a photo for a couple on their honeymoon and were reminded of our own honeymoon 8 years ago. Dustin and I then promptly decided we were taking a trip to Disney just the two of us as soon as the boys graduate from high school. 😂

We had an exceptional experience today with the allergy chef. He met us at the door and let me know that they were expecting us, and already had a list of what would be considered "safe" for Jackson. They got Jack's food made right away, and he was SO EXCITED to eat his spaghetti. Both boys were able to have gelati for dessert and Jack kept signing "more." It's not often that Jack can eat something just like the rest of us, so when he can, we are extremely grateful.

Dustin and I enjoyed our lunch cocktails. Lunch cocktails are sometimes necessary when wrangling a toddler covered in bubble solutions. 😉

After lunch, we divided and conquered again. Dustin had a lightning lane for "Guardians of the Galaxy" and the boys and I were toast. We went back to the resort and napped for about 2 hours before heading back into the park for the evening.

We met Dustin at the "hub" for Skyliner transportation, and he continued onwards with us to Epcot again. We were excited to see "Journey of Water" which is an experience inspired by the movie "Moana." It was SO GOOD. Truly, it made all the work of getting the boys back to the park worth it.

We walked through the experience, Dustin grabbed us caramel treats from Germany while I grabbed us poutine from Canada, and we met back up in the middle to head back to our resort.

Tomorrow we plan to head to Hollywood Studios!

The Brisel family is OFF!

I'm so excited to share that our family is celebrating the holiday season at our very favorite place...Disney World! This trip has been a long time coming. We have been saving and planning for over a year, and yesterday we [yes we...Santa doesn't get credit for this one 😉] surprised our boys with a trip to Disney World for their Christmas gift. Disney is truly Dustin and my happy place, so we couldn't be more excited to bring the boys!  While we're gone I plan to blog about our trip, so I'm hoping to share an update tomorrow evening. For some who may not know, I am working my way through the certification process of becoming a Smart Moms Travel Agent, which is a travel company that specializes in trips to Disney World. I'm hopeful that it might turn into a fun hobby that lets me share a little bit of my Disney knowledge with other families. 😊 I thought blogging our trip would be a fun resource to share with future clients! For a little recap of today... We wer...

Disney World: Day 5 Recap

Rest days are a necessity for any Disney vacation, no matter the length of your trip. 😉 We have been pushing it and hoofing it all over Disney World, so we were overdue! Our plans today included a character breakfast with Minnie and her friends, spending time at the pool, and a character dinner at 1900 Park Fare.  Both boys slept in until 7:00 which was amazing! We got dressed and ready and began our way towards Cape May Cafe located at The Beach Club Resort. We took the Skyliner from our resort to the International Gateway at Epcot. From there, we had about a 5 minute walk to our restaurant. Super easy!  This character meal is one of the lesser known options for character dining. We've done character dining at Topolino's Terrace (amazing!), Tusker House and Chef Mickey's, so we were excited to try something different. Minnie, Daisy, Donald and Goofy are all dressed in their beach attire, and make their way around the restaurant several times. You're also able to do a ...

Jackson Nicholas is TWO!

Jackson Nicholas is officially TWO years old today!  He's been so fun lately, and definitely showing off his two-ness. 😉 He's got a LOT to say.  He loves his big brother and wants to do anything and everything that he does.  He loves his family and talks about them all day long. He loves Mickey Mouse and can't wait for his next trip to the castle.  He loves to play outside! We'll be living in the backyard this summer.  He loves to EAT! This has been his biggest area of growth from this time last year. At his first birthday party, he was just able to eat single-ingredient foods due to his allergies - we just didn't know what was safe for him. Yesterday he was able to have a cupcake..with frosting!  Such a win!  We love him and his silly little personality. We can't wait to celebrate him today!
