Friday Favorites [3-29-2024]

It's Friday, I have a long weekend, and that makes me a happy lady. 😉 As usual. I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea and sharing my favorites from the week!

My day on Thursday started off pretty snuggly. Jack woke up when I was wrapping up my workout, so I headed upstairs to help him. We were snuggling in the rocking chair, and Sammy woke up and joined us. 😊 Those few minutes of snuggling and rocking my boys absolutely warmed my mama heart.

I love this picture of Jack. He was working on a piece of bread about the size of his head! He's at the point where it appears that he's eating really well, but then you lift him up out of his highchair and wonder if any food *actually* made it into his mouth. Haha.

My Greek Inspired Pasta Salad was another favorite from the week. It made for a yummy, easy lunch to bring to work! We're reaching the point of the school year where I'm gradually losing steam with packing lunches. 😅

I shared on What's Up Wednesday that I've recently converted to the LMNT Electrolytes, instead of Sugar-Free Liquid IV. Starting my morning with a big cup of LMNT is one of my favorite things.

Thursday was a really special day at my school. It was called "Think Different Day," and it is a mental health day for teachers and students. We take a total break from academics, and the kids rotate through stations throughout the day. They could make kites, learn how to make balloon animals, play with play dough, make a kazoo...lots of fun things. I hosted "Diary of a Worm" dirt cups, where we read "Diary of a Worm" and made a little pudding dirt cup snack. It was a nice change of pace ahead of the three day weekend!

Dustin kept the boys home on Tuesday, and they had a snuggly day together. I loved getting pictures from Dustin throughout the day. Look at this one of Jack trying to climb Roo's dog stairs. He's thinking, "Thanks for getting me something to climb!"

Sammy started a T-Ball camp this week at the YMCA and he was so excited! He couldn't have been happier to head out the door with Dustin. I'm looking forward to watching all the T-Ball games this summer!

My last favorite of the week is this sweet picture of my two favorite little boys. 😊 I love any and all opportunities to put them in matching clothes!

Happy Easter, everyone! I'll see you back here on Monday. XX

Jackson Nicholas is TWO!

Jackson Nicholas is officially TWO years old today!  He's been so fun lately, and definitely showing off his two-ness. 😉 He's got a LOT to say.  He loves his big brother and wants to do anything and everything that he does.  He loves his family and talks about them all day long. He loves Mickey Mouse and can't wait for his next trip to the castle.  He loves to play outside! We'll be living in the backyard this summer.  He loves to EAT! This has been his biggest area of growth from this time last year. At his first birthday party, he was just able to eat single-ingredient foods due to his allergies - we just didn't know what was safe for him. Yesterday he was able to have a cupcake..with frosting!  Such a win!  We love him and his silly little personality. We can't wait to celebrate him today!

Disney World: Day 6 Recap

We're a little bit behind in posting, but today I'm sharing our day 6 recap to our Disney World trip! Today we went to...Animal Kingdom!  I love an Animal Kingdom park day following a rest day. Animal Kingdom has lots of opportunities for animal viewing, and the animals are most active during the morning. It's a great idea to start your day at Animal Kingdom early to maximize your animal viewing opportunities.  On this day we were up and on our way around 8:00. We had a lightning pass for the Nav'i River Journey beginning at 8:05. This ride is located in the Pandora section of the park and it is truly amazing. There are lots of floating mountains, water features, and fun details throughout. Although the boys had zero frame of reference about the movie, we enjoyed the ride and some breakfast before heading to... Festival of the Lion King! Truly - this show is worth the cost of your park admission alone. We loved the songs and the dances, and Sammy was thrilled with the f...

Disney World: Day 7 Recap

We woke up on January 1st ready for our last full day at Disney World!  The boys were a little slow moving this morning (who came blame them after 4 park days 😅) but we had a Lightning Lane booked at 8:05AM for Tiana's Bayou Adventure (formerly known as Splash Mountain). I sent Sammy and Dustin ahead to Magic Kingdom so Jack could have a slower start, and we met up with them in Fantasyland right around 9:30. We knew today was going to be a long park day. We were worried to leave for a rest in case the park reached capacity, and we wanted to make sure we stayed for fireworks!  We packed our morning with lots of rides and tried the new beignets. Sammy loved them! I also caught my favorite picture of the trip this morning. I was trying to take a cute picture of the boys, and Sammy's arm was around Jack's shoulders. At this exact moment... Jack took hold Sammy's finger and bit it. He didn't bite very hard, but hard enough to get this reaction from Sammy. 😂 It is somet...
