Friday Favorites [5-31-2024]

 


It's Friday, AND it's the last day of school before summer break. YAY! I have to return next week for 2 work days, but in my mind, those don't count. :) 

I'm linking up with Andrea and Erika to share a few favorites from my week. 

It's been a busy one - packed with tball, and all of the last minute craziness that comes with being a teacher in May. 


Sammy had his first two tball games, and oh my goodness was it adorable to watch! When I asked him after the game what his favorite part was he said, "I liked sitting in the dugout with my friends." 


Jack enjoyed a stroll through Target on Sunday, and I enjoyed pushing him while he sat up like a big boy! He was so content to sit and check things out around him. 

Pasta salad? It must be summertime. :)

And one last quick favorite: a "girl dinner" action. Dustin had leftovers one night after tball, but I opted for some sourdough topped with a tomato and fresh mozzarella. Yum!

    It sounds like Sammy is loving tball and Jack looks so tiny in the shopping cart. Adorable!

  It's Friday, and it's the 4th of July Eve! Sounds pretty good to me. 😉 I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  to share some favorites from the week.  I'm dipping my toe back into blog world because, well, I am missing documenting my kids' childhoods. It brings me such joy to go back and read through memories from years before documented in old posts, so I'm determined to hang out here a bit more consistently to share life.  This summer, I've got a seven (7?!) year old and a new 3 year old. Someone the other day was talking about what a difference a year makes from summer to summer and it is so true. For example, this year Jack and Sammy love to go play together. Friday Favorites [7-10-2026]

  It's Friday!  I'm linking up with Andrea and Erika to share some favorites from the week. Here we go!  Easy favorite was our Fourth of July! We had a festive day - we went to our parade in the morning and hosted a party in the evening. Look at these cute boys!  Big fan of fireworks and sparklers over here.  Sammy's favorite from the week was the visiting frogs and axolotls to our local library. He has big dreams of owning an axolotl - he's done extensive research 😉 - but we've come to the conclusion that the age of 14 seems reasonable to own an axolotl. Haha. He was very excited to see them up close and in person!  Our slow mornings of a cold brew + the boys playing in the basement are my FAVORITE for sure! I love these days.  Roo's favorite was easily sitting on my lap while I read outside. Friday Favorites [6-14-2024]

  I hate to be the one to point it out...but how in the world is June almost halfway over?! I would like to hit the "slow down" button on summer, please. 😉 Like usual, I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  to share some favorites from our week. Here we go! You'll notice that many of my "favorites" are food related this week. One of the reasons I love summer is that the cooking is easy, and I can take some time making things I typically wouldn't have time for. Wednesday evening we grilled pork chops and I was hunting for a side dish. I found the ingredients for taco dip and we gobbled it right up. Taco dip is basically a salad, yes?  Jack (and big brother!) have been loving water play this summer. It has been extra warm this week, so it's been a great way to beat the heat.  We had burgers this week using my very favorite  recipe . This meal is probably one of Dustin's most loved meals! Ugh.
