Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! I've got a long weekend on tap, Dustin is off this weekend, and I couldn't be more excited for 3 days at home with my people. I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea to share some favorites from my week. Here we go!

My first favorite is this new toothy smile. Sammy lost his first tooth! He pulled it out himself and couldn't have been more proud. 😊 How do kids look instantly so much older once their teeth start falling out?!

Another favorite HAS to be my two tiniest valentines. We like to get the boys a little something for Valentine's Day to make the day special. 😉 Even though our day was busy with school, we tried our best to celebrate!

My day at school was nutty, as are party days. Sammy went through my valentines and I died when I saw what one little friend wrote on my card. Those of you who can read first grade will see it's from a "secret admirer." SO PRECIOUS! I told Dustin that he has some competition. 😉

This picture is a new favorite. I think the boys look so much alike here!

Sammy's Valentine's Day party was on Thursday, and he headed off to school with his Bluey box, made by Dustin. He couldn't have been more excited!

Jack has had a couple of rough nights this week. While Sammy has teeth falling out, Jack has teeth coming in! Even though he's a little more cranky in the evenings, he has been really loving strawberries this week.

Has anyone read Kristin Hannah's new book? I've got it queued in my Kindle, and I'm hoping to make some good progress on it over the weekend!

Speaking of weekend, I'm ready for it! See you back here on Monday. XX

Friday Favorites [10-4-2024]

Happy, HAPPY Friday!  I hate to even say it outloud, but Jack slept through the night two nights in a row this week. He's been getting so many teeth - all at the same time for about three weeks. This led to lots of broken nights of sleep for our boy. It is AMAZING how much better I feel getting a full night of sleep. Haha.  Needless to say, I'm feeling extra perky this Friday.  I'm linking up with Andrea  and  Erika  to share a few favorites from my week. 😊 Sammy's flag football team is the Chiefs, and so obviously his favorite dog supporter needed to get a matching outfit. Look at Sammy's red cheeks! We're ready for fall weather to arrive in full force over here. Haha.  This week was National Night Out in our town, and Dustin helped work it. I stopped by with the boys, and Jack was genuinely surprised to see so many people who looked like his daddy. He got so excited when he saw the first police car, but was disappointed his daddy wasn't inside. 😉 D...

The Brisel family is OFF!

I'm so excited to share that our family is celebrating the holiday season at our very favorite place...Disney World! This trip has been a long time coming. We have been saving and planning for over a year, and yesterday we [yes we...Santa doesn't get credit for this one 😉] surprised our boys with a trip to Disney World for their Christmas gift. Disney is truly Dustin and my happy place, so we couldn't be more excited to bring the boys!  While we're gone I plan to blog about our trip, so I'm hoping to share an update tomorrow evening. For some who may not know, I am working my way through the certification process of becoming a Smart Moms Travel Agent, which is a travel company that specializes in trips to Disney World. I'm hopeful that it might turn into a fun hobby that lets me share a little bit of my Disney knowledge with other families. 😊 I thought blogging our trip would be a fun resource to share with future clients! For a little recap of today... We wer...

Disney World: Day 5 Recap

Rest days are a necessity for any Disney vacation, no matter the length of your trip. 😉 We have been pushing it and hoofing it all over Disney World, so we were overdue! Our plans today included a character breakfast with Minnie and her friends, spending time at the pool, and a character dinner at 1900 Park Fare.  Both boys slept in until 7:00 which was amazing! We got dressed and ready and began our way towards Cape May Cafe located at The Beach Club Resort. We took the Skyliner from our resort to the International Gateway at Epcot. From there, we had about a 5 minute walk to our restaurant. Super easy!  This character meal is one of the lesser known options for character dining. We've done character dining at Topolino's Terrace (amazing!), Tusker House and Chef Mickey's, so we were excited to try something different. Minnie, Daisy, Donald and Goofy are all dressed in their beach attire, and make their way around the restaurant several times. You're also able to do a ...
