Friday Favorites [6-28-2024]

Oops! I accidentally took two days off this week from blogging. This was a full week of summer fun! I'm linking up with Andrea and Erika to share all about it.

This week, Dustin was on his "off days" Tuesday through Friday, and the weather was perfect!

We swam...

Sammy and Dustin went fishing...

And we hit the zoo.

My aunt and I also took Sammy to see "Inside Out 2" this week. We LOVED it! Has anyone else seen it? I was worried it would be too "old" for Sammy, but I think the whole puberty undertones were lost on him. We had lots of laughs!

This is one of my favorite photos of the week. ๐Ÿ˜Š On this morning I had gotten up, worked out, and enjoyed breakfast before the boys woke up. This rarely happens, so it's an exciting moment when it does, haha. Jack woke up and I enjoyed my iced coffee while he enjoyed some morning playtime. I love the slow mornings of summer.

One evening, Dustin and I got the boys to bed early and enjoyed a drink on the fronch porch in our rocking chairs. This is one of our very favorite things to do during the summer months.

Summer lunches are forever a favorite. Side note, I've declared this summer the summer of paper plates. It lightens my dishes load quite a bit! Haha.

Sweet brothers fresh from the tub in matching pajamas has to be at the top of my "favorite things" list. I am taking full advantage of the way Sammy wants to match Jack!

& one last funny to end the week. I was scrolling Instagram and came across this and spit my water out. Haha.

Have the best weekend, see you back here on Monday! XX

The Brisel family is OFF!

I'm so excited to share that our family is celebrating the holiday season at our very favorite place...Disney World! This trip has been a long time coming. We have been saving and planning for over a year, and yesterday we [yes we...Santa doesn't get credit for this one ๐Ÿ˜‰] surprised our boys with a trip to Disney World for their Christmas gift. Disney is truly Dustin and my happy place, so we couldn't be more excited to bring the boys!  While we're gone I plan to blog about our trip, so I'm hoping to share an update tomorrow evening. For some who may not know, I am working my way through the certification process of becoming a Smart Moms Travel Agent, which is a travel company that specializes in trips to Disney World. I'm hopeful that it might turn into a fun hobby that lets me share a little bit of my Disney knowledge with other families. ๐Ÿ˜Š I thought blogging our trip would be a fun resource to share with future clients! For a little recap of today... We wer...

Disney World: Day 5 Recap

Rest days are a necessity for any Disney vacation, no matter the length of your trip. ๐Ÿ˜‰ We have been pushing it and hoofing it all over Disney World, so we were overdue! Our plans today included a character breakfast with Minnie and her friends, spending time at the pool, and a character dinner at 1900 Park Fare.  Both boys slept in until 7:00 which was amazing! We got dressed and ready and began our way towards Cape May Cafe located at The Beach Club Resort. We took the Skyliner from our resort to the International Gateway at Epcot. From there, we had about a 5 minute walk to our restaurant. Super easy!  This character meal is one of the lesser known options for character dining. We've done character dining at Topolino's Terrace (amazing!), Tusker House and Chef Mickey's, so we were excited to try something different. Minnie, Daisy, Donald and Goofy are all dressed in their beach attire, and make their way around the restaurant several times. You're also able to do a ...

Jackson Nicholas is TWO!

Jackson Nicholas is officially TWO years old today!  He's been so fun lately, and definitely showing off his two-ness. ๐Ÿ˜‰ He's got a LOT to say.  He loves his big brother and wants to do anything and everything that he does.  He loves his family and talks about them all day long. He loves Mickey Mouse and can't wait for his next trip to the castle.  He loves to play outside! We'll be living in the backyard this summer.  He loves to EAT! This has been his biggest area of growth from this time last year. At his first birthday party, he was just able to eat single-ingredient foods due to his allergies - we just didn't know what was safe for him. Yesterday he was able to have a cupcake..with frosting!  Such a win!  We love him and his silly little personality. We can't wait to celebrate him today!
