Friday Favorites [4-19-2024]

Friday, it was so nice to see you this morning. This week had a lot of "stuff" and it left me beyond ready for the weekend. I'm off today for my yearly dermatology appointment (make those appointments, ladies - they're important!) and tomorrow we head to Illinois for a bridal shower. I'm linking up with Andrea and Erika to share some favorites from the week. Here we go!

Did any other families LOVE watching the new Bluey episode this weekend? It aired on Disney + on Sunday, and we were giddy at my house. We've watched it several more times this week and laugh and find new things we hadn't noticed each time. The story telling in Bluey is always a favorite of mine. 😉

Pictures of the boys during the day are also a favorite of mine. I can't wait to spend my days with them in the summer!

We celebrated Dustin's birthday on Sunday. He was off, the weather was perfect, and it was so fun to have everyone over for a meal to celebrate. I love this picture of my boys. 😊

This salad that I prepped over the weekend was a big favorite as well. We're reaching the point of the year where motivation is starting to reach an all-time low, so having having healthy lunches ready to go in the fridge was a big help this week.

Going to Monster Jam was Sammy's favorite this week. He was living his very best little boy life!

And one last favorite...last night Sammy had the Kindergarten Social. He got to go to school, visit the classrooms and see what things were going to be like next year. He was pretty nervous about this event all week, but I think that overall it was a success. Now, someone come hold me so I can go cry about my baby going to Kindergarten. 😉

That's all for this week, I'll be back on Monday! XX

  1. My girls are older so I have missed out on watching Bluey but it is such a big thing. I have seen clips and it does look a sweet show.
Happy birthday to Dustin! It sounds like a lovely celebration.
I am sure Sammy will love Kindergarten. They do grow up so quickly though.

The Brisel family is OFF!

I'm so excited to share that our family is celebrating the holiday season at our very favorite place...Disney World! This trip has been a long time coming. We have been saving and planning for over a year, and yesterday we [yes we...Santa doesn't get credit for this one 😉] surprised our boys with a trip to Disney World for their Christmas gift. Disney is truly Dustin and my happy place, so we couldn't be more excited to bring the boys!  While we're gone I plan to blog about our trip, so I'm hoping to share an update tomorrow evening. For some who may not know, I am working my way through the certification process of becoming a Smart Moms Travel Agent, which is a travel company that specializes in trips to Disney World. I'm hopeful that it might turn into a fun hobby that lets me share a little bit of my Disney knowledge with other families. 😊 I thought blogging our trip would be a fun resource to share with future clients! For a little recap of today... We wer...

Disney World: Day 5 Recap

Rest days are a necessity for any Disney vacation, no matter the length of your trip. 😉 We have been pushing it and hoofing it all over Disney World, so we were overdue! Our plans today included a character breakfast with Minnie and her friends, spending time at the pool, and a character dinner at 1900 Park Fare.  Both boys slept in until 7:00 which was amazing! We got dressed and ready and began our way towards Cape May Cafe located at The Beach Club Resort. We took the Skyliner from our resort to the International Gateway at Epcot. From there, we had about a 5 minute walk to our restaurant. Super easy!  This character meal is one of the lesser known options for character dining. We've done character dining at Topolino's Terrace (amazing!), Tusker House and Chef Mickey's, so we were excited to try something different. Minnie, Daisy, Donald and Goofy are all dressed in their beach attire, and make their way around the restaurant several times. You're also able to do a ...

Jackson Nicholas is TWO!

Jackson Nicholas is officially TWO years old today!  He's been so fun lately, and definitely showing off his two-ness. 😉 He's got a LOT to say.  He loves his big brother and wants to do anything and everything that he does.  He loves his family and talks about them all day long. He loves Mickey Mouse and can't wait for his next trip to the castle.  He loves to play outside! We'll be living in the backyard this summer.  He loves to EAT! This has been his biggest area of growth from this time last year. At his first birthday party, he was just able to eat single-ingredient foods due to his allergies - we just didn't know what was safe for him. Yesterday he was able to have a cupcake..with frosting!  Such a win!  We love him and his silly little personality. We can't wait to celebrate him today!
