Trader Joe's September Haul

This past weekend, my soul decided it needed Trader Joe's. 😊 It was all decked out for fall and smelled like cinnamon - my version of heaven. I'm sharing some finds from my haul should a trip to Trader Joe's be in your future.

Yes, please! Perfect for our master bath.

I bought this without any thought of what I should put it on, and we walked out of the store without pumpkin bagels. I'll have to pick some up at our local store this week!

This spread + a honeycrisp apple make the yummiest little dessert.

We grilled up this Carne Asade, added flatbreads, chimichurri sauce and arugula and made...

...the yummiest dinner for our Saturday night. This was SO delicious!

This soup is delicious and perfect for lunches. I can typically get 2-3 lunches out of one jar of soup. I'm saving it for when we have some cooler days ahead of us.

I LOVE this sweet potato gnocchi. We typically air fry it and serve it up alongside some of their chicken sausages for an easy dinner.

It's nearly impossible to find chicken nuggets made without rice or oats, but these were a winner! Jack and Sammy both liked them.

We couldn't resist these. 😊 They aren't quite as delicious as ones from the orchard, but they'll do the trick until we get to our orchard!

Friday Favorites [7-3-2026]

It's Friday, and it's the 4th of July Eve! Sounds pretty good to me. 😉 I'm linking up with Andrea and Erika to share some favorites from the week. I'm dipping my toe back into blog world because, well, I am missing documenting my kids' childhoods. It brings me such joy to go back and read through memories from years before documented in old posts, so I'm determined to hang out here a bit more consistently to share life. This summer, I've got a seven (7?!) year old and a new 3 year old. Someone the other day was talking about what a difference a year makes from summer to summer and it is so true. For example, this year Jack and Sammy love to go play together. Last year, both boys required constant supervision. Last year Jack hated going to the pool, and this year he is a little fish! Friday Favorites [6-14-2024]

I hate to be the one to point it out...but how in the world is June almost halfway over?! I would like to hit the "slow down" button on summer, please. 😉 Like usual, I'm linking up with Andrea and Erika to share some favorites from our week. Here we go! You'll notice that many of my "favorites" are food related this week. One of the reasons I love summer is that the cooking is easy, and I can take some time making things I typically wouldn't have time for. Wednesday evening we grilled pork chops and I was hunting for a side dish. I found the ingredients for taco dip and we gobbled it right up. Taco dip is basically a salad, yes? Jack (and big brother!) have been loving water play this summer. It has been extra warm this week, so it's been a great way to beat the heat. We had burgers this week using my very favorite recipe . Friday Favorites [7-10-2026]

It's Friday! I'm linking up with Andrea and Erika to share some favorites from the week. Here we go! Easy favorite was our Fourth of July! We had a festive day - we went to our parade in the morning and hosted a party in the evening. Look at these cute boys! Big fan of fireworks and sparklers over here. Sammy's favorite from the week was the visiting frogs and axolotls to our local library. He has big dreams of owning an axolotl - he's done extensive research 😉 - but we've come to the conclusion that the age of 14 seems reasonable to own an axolotl. Haha. He was very excited to see them up close and in person! Our slow mornings of a cold brew + the boys playing in the basement are my FAVORITE for sure! I love these days. Roo's favorite was easily sitting on my lap while I read outside.
