Jack's First Birthday recap

We had just about the best weekend celebrating Jack's FIRST birthday! He has a big party planned for next weekend, Dustin worked this weekend, so we decided to spend his birthday at home doing all of his favorite things. 😊

He got this super fun water table as his birthday gift. It's going to be perfect for this summer! I love that it has two tiers, so Sammy and Jack can both play with it super easily. Both boys splashed in it for hours!

I experimented with making a cake that was made with some of his "safe foods." He was extra excited about the strawberries on top of the cake and ate those promptly. 😉

I can't believe our boy is one! I know that this year will be a year of tremendous growth in all sorts of ways for him. I'd like to freeze time, but I know good things are ahead, too.

Friday Favorites [3-1-2024]

It's Friday and I'm here sharing my favorites from the week. As usual, I'm linking up with Andrea and Erika . Here we go! My very first favorite is that Jack is 9 months old today! I can't believe he's been "out" for as long as I was pregnant with him. 😊 He is the happiest little baby, and we just can't imagine life without him. I shared a little monthly update on the blog today as well. Another favorite is that Sammy lost his second tooth over the weekend. He pulled it out himself! I told him that pretty soon he won't have any teeth left. 😉 An easy sheet meal dinner was perfect for our Wednesday night. I took some italian chicken sausage, sweet potato gnocchi, and green beans, plus a little olive oil and seasonings and roasted it up for about 20 minutes. Sammy loves chicken sausages, so a fuss-free dinner is always a win in my book. We put out some St. Patrick's Day books over the weekend and have been enjoying reading them. I keep a...

Friday Favorites [4-5-2024]

Hello, Friday. It's always nice to see you. 😉 I'm linking up with Andrea and Erika to share some favorites from my week. Here we go! My first favorites are these sweet Easter pictures. We had a fun weekend celebrating! I love any reason for my little boys to get dressed up and get a cute picture. 😉 Another favorite on April 1st was celebrating Jack's 10 month birthday! I can't believe in two months he will be one. I loved this picture showing off his top two teeth. 3 years ago, my family was at one of our favorite places...Disney World! We went to Florida over Easter in 2021 with my extended family and it was a fun little trip. This trip was rescheduled from March of 2020, and I love seeing all of the memories from our trip. Sammy looks SO LITTLE. In this picture we were riding Dumbo. I remember that Sammy got off the ride and promptly asked to go again. Haha. Friday Favorites [5-3-2024]

Yay! It's Friday and it's the month of MAY! Both of those things are very good things in my book. Today I'm linking up with Andrea and Erika to share some favorites from the week. On Monday I shared that we had a busy weekend! My mom and I hosted a Bridal Shower for my sweet cousin Caitlin, and then our new niece and nephew were baptized on Sunday. It was a fun (but tiring) way to spend the weekend! Jack especially loved all of the family time, and was happy to sneak in some giggles with Great Grandma before the shower began. 😉 We whipped up these Burrito Bowls for dinner one night this week, and it was a new favorite. It was such an easy meal that Dustin and I both loved! It's May, which means that it's time for me to read "Charlotte's Web" to my class. I read it every year during the month of May! This book has seen much better years - I think it's time for a new copy. Haha. The boys and I love to play in the basement...
