Mother's Day fun

Happy, happy Monday!

You know those weekends when you crawl into bed on Sunday night and feel satisfied and rejuvenated from your days off? That's exactly the feeling I'm having right now. 😊 We had such a lovely weekend together!

On Saturday we did all the things so that on Sunday we could play. We cleaned, got the garden planted, and laundry finished. 

On Sunday, we woke up and headed to church. After church we went to a local orchard that was putting on "Baby Animal" days during the month of May. This is the same orchard that we visit in the fall. It's one of our favorite places!






They had some of the "normal" orchard things open, like the corn pit. I truly think Sammy would have stayed in the corn pit if we had let him! There were baby bunnies and kitties to hold, and baby chicks and ducks to watch. The weather couldn't have been better!


There is also a train to ride, which is always a favorite. I love this picture. It looks like Jack is saying, "cheese!"


I wish I could hug the man that suggested he take our picture, it turned out so well! I love my crew, and I love being their mom.

Jackson Nicholas is TWO!

Jackson Nicholas is officially TWO years old today!  He's been so fun lately, and definitely showing off his two-ness. 😉 He's got a LOT to say.  He loves his big brother and wants to do anything and everything that he does.  He loves his family and talks about them all day long. He loves Mickey Mouse and can't wait for his next trip to the castle.  He loves to play outside! We'll be living in the backyard this summer.  He loves to EAT! This has been his biggest area of growth from this time last year. At his first birthday party, he was just able to eat single-ingredient foods due to his allergies - we just didn't know what was safe for him. Yesterday he was able to have a cupcake..with frosting!  Such a win!  We love him and his silly little personality. We can't wait to celebrate him today!

Sammy is SEVEN!

  Sammy is SEVEN! Seven years ago we were at the hospital, excited and nervous to meet our Samuel John.  Sammy was always a happy baby and toddler, and that's continued into childhood. He is so affable, friendly, and confident! He loves his family, he loves to play and he loves to be active. Games are his favorite, and he loves to "snuggle."  Since returning back to school, he's developed a huge love of reading! As a first grade teacher this WARMS my heart. He loves most books, but right now he favors graphic novels. He is the best big brother. Without us asking, he is so willing to help his brother. Just yesterday, Jack sneezed and Sammy ran to get him a wipe and then proceeded to wipe Jack's nose for him. If someone gets hurt he often hurries to see what's wrong and if he can help. He's a lot like Dustin in that he loves to have fun and be social. He's a lot like me in that he loves to make lists and know the when/how things are happening. He loves a...

Friday Favorites [10-4-2024]

Happy, HAPPY Friday!  I hate to even say it outloud, but Jack slept through the night two nights in a row this week. He's been getting so many teeth - all at the same time for about three weeks. This led to lots of broken nights of sleep for our boy. It is AMAZING how much better I feel getting a full night of sleep. Haha.  Needless to say, I'm feeling extra perky this Friday.  I'm linking up with Andrea  and  Erika  to share a few favorites from my week. 😊 Sammy's flag football team is the Chiefs, and so obviously his favorite dog supporter needed to get a matching outfit. Look at Sammy's red cheeks! We're ready for fall weather to arrive in full force over here. Haha.  This week was National Night Out in our town, and Dustin helped work it. I stopped by with the boys, and Jack was genuinely surprised to see so many people who looked like his daddy.
