Happy Black Friday! Is everyone out and about doing all the Christmas shopping? I've been filling my cart across lots of retailers online, so that's how I'll be doing my Black Friday shopping. This time of year always makes me so excited!
We loaded up the boys early this morning, and are on our way to visit family in Illinois. Our weekend plans include lots of family time, a reindeer farm, and a special visit with a man in a red suit. 😉 Then, we'll cap off the weekend with some family photos on Sunday morning! I'm certain we'll ALL be ready for an early bedtime on Sunday evening.
I'm linking up with Andrea and Erika to share some Friday Favorites!
First up...
Our school district had school through Wednesday of this week, so we had some time to do a few little Thanksgiving projects. This activity was a turkey that said "I'm thankful for," and they used the feathers to write all the things they were thankful for. This turkey was a FAVORITE! This little first grade friend was thankful for the "Kansas City Chiefs." Note the logo on the turkey's hat. 😂 SO funny!
Thanksgiving Eve I put the boys into some new matching pajamas from our favorite brand, Little Sleepies. These are "Where the Wild Things" themed and so cute! Let the wild rumpus start. 😉
Earlier in the week I snagged a drink for myself and a cookie for Sammy, and had to take this picture. It makes me absolutely cackle. I love it SO MUCH! Seasonal Starbucks treats and babies are both a FAVORITE.
On Thursday morning I woke up early while the house was still quiet to get going on a few dishes. I popped two breakfast casseroles in the oven - a sausage/crescent roll casserole and I used Egg Nog to make a French toast casserole. They were both delish.
We watched the parade and I prepped some food items to take over to my parent's house. I was in charge of the broccoli rice casserole, the dressing, the rolls and a salted caramel pecan pie. Truly, I could make a meal of just those four items. Haha!
Here's a picture of our littlest turkey. 😊
We capped off the day by tucking the boys in for an early bedtime, and eating leftover pie while watching football.
That's it for today! I hope everyone has a successful Black Friday and a great holiday weekend! See you back here on Monday. XX
