Friday Favorites 1-6-2023

This Friday I'm linking up with some of my very favorite bloggers to share some of my Friday favorites from the week. It was the first week of a new year and filled with getting back into the swing of things. I'm looking forward to (hopefully) a restorative and restful weekend. Happy Friday, friends!

Roe Wellness

My first Friday Favorites is this new belly bundle from Roe Wellness. I religiously used a stretch mark cream during my pregnancy with Sammy and feel it really contributed to my skin recovering from being stretched so far. I was excited to find this belly serum and stretch mark cream from Roe Wellness. It is an all-natural product, and so so so moisturizing. The belly serum goes on super smoothly and the cream has the perfect amount of scent. It goes on smoothly and isn't greasy at all. I would totally recommend this product for any expecting mama.

Gloves in a Bottle

I spent the last day before returning to work in an organizing, purging, and cleaning frenzy. I generally try to wear gloves while I clean but had forgotten on this day, and my hands were super dry and cracked. I've used this lotion before but had run out, so Amazon came to the rescue! This is the very best lotion to use on dry hands this time of year. It's super moisturizing, not greasy and really cures your hands within a few uses. It's definitely a must-have product for this time of year.

Home Chef

I typically don't enjoy a meal subscription and prefer to pick our menu each week and buy ingredients weekly. An influencer on Instagram shared a really good deal for Home Chef, so I decided to give it a shot. This week we enjoyed a prosciutto pasta, bbq tacos and a bbq meatball dish. The ingredients were all super fresh and high-quality and it was really nice not having to think through what was for dinner each night. I don't know that it is something I would do consistently but it definitely simplified our week!

Pajama Pants

My mom gifted all the ladies of the family some pajamas from Soma this year. I got the "Cool Nights" pajama bottoms and they are delightful! I'm finding myself washing them nightly so I can rewear them the next day. They're super soft, cooling, and nice and stretchy around the waistband. Perfect for my growing belly. :) I love them!

I'm off to enjoy the weekend with my boys! Have a great one. :)

Jackson Nicholas is TWO!

Jackson Nicholas is officially TWO years old today!  He's been so fun lately, and definitely showing off his two-ness. 😉 He's got a LOT to say.  He loves his big brother and wants to do anything and everything that he does.  He loves his family and talks about them all day long. He loves Mickey Mouse and can't wait for his next trip to the castle.  He loves to play outside! We'll be living in the backyard this summer.  He loves to EAT! This has been his biggest area of growth from this time last year. At his first birthday party, he was just able to eat single-ingredient foods due to his allergies - we just didn't know what was safe for him. Yesterday he was able to have a cupcake..with frosting!  Such a win!  We love him and his silly little personality. We can't wait to celebrate him today!

Sammy is SEVEN!

Sammy is SEVEN! Seven years ago we were at the hospital, excited and nervous to meet our Samuel John.  Sammy was always a happy baby and toddler, and that's continued into childhood. He is so affable, friendly, and confident! He loves his family, he loves to play and he loves to be active. Games are his favorite, and he loves to "snuggle."  Since returning back to school, he's developed a huge love of reading! As a first grade teacher this WARMS my heart. He loves most books, but right now he favors graphic novels. He is the best big brother. Without us asking, he is so willing to help his brother. Just yesterday, Jack sneezed and Sammy ran to get him a wipe and then proceeded to wipe Jack's nose for him. If someone gets hurt he often hurries to see what's wrong and if he can help. He's a lot like Dustin in that he loves to have fun and be social. He's a lot like me in that he loves to make lists and know the when/how things are happening. He loves a...

What's Up Wednesday [September 2024]

And just like that...it's the last week of the month! Time for What's Up Wednesday with  Sheaffer  and  Shay .  What We're Eating this Week... Fall weather is officially upon us, so I'm craving warm, comforting meals. This week's menu is... Sunday - Meatloaf and green beans Monday - Chicken Pot Pie with a green salad Tuesday - "Smash Burger" tacos  Wednesday - BBQ Chicken bowls Thursday - Spaghetti  Friday - we're grilling up the Trader Joe's Unexpected Cheddar Chicken sausages...so good!  My boys have been eating a lot of pumpkin muffins this week. I had to make a second batch this evening because Sammy ate 5 (5!) in one day.  We're basically eating pumpkin in whatever we can these days, which is why I made these pumpkin sourdough discard bagels. A warm bagel + pumpkin cream cheese from Trader Joe's = a little slice of heaven. 😊 What I'm reminiscing about... As always...this time last year. Look how small and squishy Baby Jack was!  T...
