Friday Favorites [6-21-2024]

It's crazy that another week of summer has come to a close! Fridays come around awfully quick these days. I'm linking up with Andrea and Erika to share some favorites from the week. Here we go!

These boys will always be my favorites, especially when they're in matching pajamas and fresh from the tub. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Early morning snuggles are my favorite, too. I love how you can see Jack's little grin behind his pacifier. Haha.

I know I'm not the only teacher that is in the midst of cleaning and organizing and purging all the things. This week I tackled our kitchen cabinets and laundry closet. Have you tried this cleaner? It's a super concentrated powder that you dump into the washer by itself, and then run a "self clean" cycle. We have a top loader, but I was still amazed at how much fresher the washing machine seemed after using this!

Here's my latest lunch fixation of the week. It's cucumber, cauliflower, tomato, yellow pepper, turkey, parmesan cheese and a drizzle of avocado oil and white balsamic vinegar. SO GOOD and fresh!

Sammy LOVED these corn dog muffins that we had for lunch this week. Quick, easy, and fun!

Lunchtime giggles are always a favorite around here. While it's a lot of work to feed these boys all day, I love the time we are spending together during meals!

Part of our summer routine has been doing "school" with Sammy during the day. We aren't doing anything too crazy, just enough to keep his brain fresh during these summer months. He surprises me by reminding me to get "school ready" for him everyday. Haha.

One last favorite for the week is T-Ball! The boys have just one game left in the season next week. Sammy's favorite part of the season has been: "sitting in the dugout with his friends." ๐Ÿ˜‚

I hope everyone has the best weekend! We have a bit of a busy one over here. Today we're celebrating my mom's birthday, tomorrow we have a wedding, and on Sunday we have a neighborhood dinner. See you back here Monday! XX

  1. My son Zeke played t-ball for the first time this summer, and he loved it! It was such a good experience for him. Feeding kids all day is a J O B! Plus the cooking and cleaning up afterwards…

Friday Favorites [10-4-2024]

Happy, HAPPY Friday!  I hate to even say it outloud, but Jack slept through the night two nights in a row this week. He's been getting so many teeth - all at the same time for about three weeks. This led to lots of broken nights of sleep for our boy. It is AMAZING how much better I feel getting a full night of sleep. Haha.  Needless to say, I'm feeling extra perky this Friday.  I'm linking up with Andrea  and  Erika  to share a few favorites from my week. ๐Ÿ˜Š Sammy's flag football team is the Chiefs, and so obviously his favorite dog supporter needed to get a matching outfit. Look at Sammy's red cheeks! We're ready for fall weather to arrive in full force over here. Haha.  This week was National Night Out in our town, and Dustin helped work it. I stopped by with the boys, and Jack was genuinely surprised to see so many people who looked like his daddy. He got so excited when he saw the first police car, but was disappointed his daddy wasn't inside. ๐Ÿ˜‰ D...

The Brisel family is OFF!

I'm so excited to share that our family is celebrating the holiday season at our very favorite place...Disney World! This trip has been a long time coming. We have been saving and planning for over a year, and yesterday we [yes we...Santa doesn't get credit for this one ๐Ÿ˜‰] surprised our boys with a trip to Disney World for their Christmas gift. Disney is truly Dustin and my happy place, so we couldn't be more excited to bring the boys!  While we're gone I plan to blog about our trip, so I'm hoping to share an update tomorrow evening. For some who may not know, I am working my way through the certification process of becoming a Smart Moms Travel Agent, which is a travel company that specializes in trips to Disney World. I'm hopeful that it might turn into a fun hobby that lets me share a little bit of my Disney knowledge with other families. ๐Ÿ˜Š I thought blogging our trip would be a fun resource to share with future clients! For a little recap of today... We wer...

Disney World: Day 5 Recap

Rest days are a necessity for any Disney vacation, no matter the length of your trip. ๐Ÿ˜‰ We have been pushing it and hoofing it all over Disney World, so we were overdue! Our plans today included a character breakfast with Minnie and her friends, spending time at the pool, and a character dinner at 1900 Park Fare.  Both boys slept in until 7:00 which was amazing! We got dressed and ready and began our way towards Cape May Cafe located at The Beach Club Resort. We took the Skyliner from our resort to the International Gateway at Epcot. From there, we had about a 5 minute walk to our restaurant. Super easy!  This character meal is one of the lesser known options for character dining. We've done character dining at Topolino's Terrace (amazing!), Tusker House and Chef Mickey's, so we were excited to try something different. Minnie, Daisy, Donald and Goofy are all dressed in their beach attire, and make their way around the restaurant several times. You're also able to do a ...
