Weekend Recap

Happy Monday! We had such a nice weekend at my house. It was great to recover after a long week! I'm sharing just a little recap here and some pictures about what we did.

We arrived home and Jack's diaper subscription had arrived. Sammy was excited to play with his "Jack in the box." 😉

I always place a grocery pick-up order for Friday after school. I love to start the weekend off with my cupboards and fridge full. We stayed in on Friday night and made Maid-Rites for dinner, and some brownies for dessert. Jack goes to bed early these days, so we cozied up with brownies and ice cream and watched Toy Story 2.

We had plenty of play time, and went to church and out to eat on Saturday night.

Jack is getting super mobile! I think I said "that's not where I left you!" about fifty times this weekend. 😅

Sunday was more of the same. Both boys slept in past 7, which was such a treat! We played, played, played, and had a short walk in the afternoon. Spring can't come any sooner. Haha.

For dinner I prepped a really yummy chicken spaghetti (recipe to come). I like to make enough food on our Sunday evening that we can enjoy leftovers on Monday evening. It makes going back to work a little easier knowing that I've already got dinner in hand.

We ended our weekend the same way it began: ice cream and brownies, but this time with some football.

Happy Monday! XX

Friday Favorites [10-4-2024]

Happy, HAPPY Friday!  I hate to even say it outloud, but Jack slept through the night two nights in a row this week. He's been getting so many teeth - all at the same time for about three weeks. This led to lots of broken nights of sleep for our boy. It is AMAZING how much better I feel getting a full night of sleep. Haha.  Needless to say, I'm feeling extra perky this Friday.  I'm linking up with Andrea  and  Erika  to share a few favorites from my week. 😊 Sammy's flag football team is the Chiefs, and so obviously his favorite dog supporter needed to get a matching outfit. Look at Sammy's red cheeks! We're ready for fall weather to arrive in full force over here. Haha.  This week was National Night Out in our town, and Dustin helped work it. I stopped by with the boys, and Jack was genuinely surprised to see so many people who looked like his daddy. He got so excited when he saw the first police car, but was disappointed his daddy wasn't inside. 😉 D...

The Brisel family is OFF!

I'm so excited to share that our family is celebrating the holiday season at our very favorite place...Disney World! This trip has been a long time coming. We have been saving and planning for over a year, and yesterday we [yes we...Santa doesn't get credit for this one 😉] surprised our boys with a trip to Disney World for their Christmas gift. Disney is truly Dustin and my happy place, so we couldn't be more excited to bring the boys!  While we're gone I plan to blog about our trip, so I'm hoping to share an update tomorrow evening. For some who may not know, I am working my way through the certification process of becoming a Smart Moms Travel Agent, which is a travel company that specializes in trips to Disney World. I'm hopeful that it might turn into a fun hobby that lets me share a little bit of my Disney knowledge with other families. 😊 I thought blogging our trip would be a fun resource to share with future clients! For a little recap of today... We wer...

Disney World: Day 5 Recap

Rest days are a necessity for any Disney vacation, no matter the length of your trip. 😉 We have been pushing it and hoofing it all over Disney World, so we were overdue! Our plans today included a character breakfast with Minnie and her friends, spending time at the pool, and a character dinner at 1900 Park Fare.  Both boys slept in until 7:00 which was amazing! We got dressed and ready and began our way towards Cape May Cafe located at The Beach Club Resort. We took the Skyliner from our resort to the International Gateway at Epcot. From there, we had about a 5 minute walk to our restaurant. Super easy!  This character meal is one of the lesser known options for character dining. We've done character dining at Topolino's Terrace (amazing!), Tusker House and Chef Mickey's, so we were excited to try something different. Minnie, Daisy, Donald and Goofy are all dressed in their beach attire, and make their way around the restaurant several times. You're also able to do a ...
