Apple Butter Sliders

I wouldn't even call this a recipe, I'd place it more under the category of  sharing an idea for a yummy way to prepare a meal. These apple butter sliders are super easy, and only require a handful of ingredients. It's a method to enjoy the flavors of the season in a savory way! 


Apple Butter Sliders

Ingredients (makes 6 servings):

6 Potato Buns

Ham

Sliced Deli Ham, about a pound

6 slices colby jack cheese

Apple Butter

1/2 stick butter, melted

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 tsp dijon mustard

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with foil for easy clean up. 
  2. Spread apple butter onto the inside of each potato bun. Layer ham and colby jack cheese, and replace top of buns. 
  3. Mix melted butter, brown sugar and dijon mustard together. Using a brush, brush the top of each bun with the butter mixture generously. 
  4. Place in your pre-heated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and sandwiches are heated through. 
  5. Dinner is served! Leftovers make for a great lunch the next day. 😊

Jackson Nicholas is officially TWO years old today!  He's been so fun lately, and definitely showing off his two-ness. 😉 He's got a LOT to say.  He loves his big brother and wants to do anything and everything that he does.  He loves his family and talks about them all day long. Sammy is SEVEN!

  Sammy is SEVEN! Seven years ago we were at the hospital, excited and nervous to meet our Samuel John.  Sammy was always a happy baby and toddler, and that's continued into childhood. He is so affable, friendly, and confident! He loves his family, he loves to play and he loves to be active. Games are his favorite, and he loves to "snuggle."  Since returning back to school, he's developed a huge love of reading! As a first grade teacher this WARMS my heart. He loves most books, but right now he favors graphic novels. He is the best big brother. Without us asking, he is so willing to help his brother. Just yesterday, Jack sneezed and Sammy ran to get him a wipe and then proceeded to wipe Jack's nose for him. If someone gets hurt he often hurries to see what's wrong and if he can help. Friday Favorites [10-4-2024]

Happy, HAPPY Friday!  I hate to even say it outloud, but Jack slept through the night two nights in a row this week. He's been getting so many teeth - all at the same time for about three weeks. This led to lots of broken nights of sleep for our boy. It is AMAZING how much better I feel getting a full night of sleep. Haha.  Needless to say, I'm feeling extra perky this Friday.  I'm linking up with Andrea  and  Erika  to share a few favorites from my week. 😊 Sammy's flag football team is the Chiefs, and so obviously his favorite dog supporter needed to get a matching outfit. Look at Sammy's red cheeks! We're ready for fall weather to arrive in full force over here. Haha.  This week was National Night Out in our town, and Dustin helped work it. I stopped by with the boys, and Jack was genuinely surprised to see so many people who looked like his daddy.
